VAST-2.0-ctv-universaladid-registry
UniversalAdId extension requires idRegistry; a blank registry is accepted only for unknown IDs
Short answer
The idRegistry attribute identifies the registry for a UniversalAdId. It must be present. Blank values are accepted for unknown ID placeholders; actual IDs require a non-empty registry. Registry names such as googlevideo and AmazonDSP are accepted.
Why this matters in production
This rule is usually a delivery blocker. Many players, SDKs, and ad servers will discard the response or skip the affected creative once this condition is hit. These rules validate supplied standardized payloads carried in legacy VAST extensions. Correct version and location handling preserves compatibility while checking ID registries, mezzanine assets, SIMID payloads and creative bindings. Optional addendum features remain optional. Affected scope: VAST 2.0 and later (all versions).
